Conscious Awareness is the faculty that makes all other healing states possible because it allows us to know and experience the present moment, see where we are stuck, what is happening, and what is called for.
Most of us live on automatic pilot, reacting to what life throws at us from a set of conditioned emotional responses that would probably be very different if we had the choice. The more awareness we have, the more choice we have.
So for example, if someone is aware enough to seek out anxiety self help, they have taken the first step to getting relief from their suffering. They can then choose which techniques to try. A person with a similar problem who does not yet have the awareness that they have anxiety or that there is help available, would be a lot further away from finding a solution. Then as we work with solutions, the insights that we have help us to shed more light on own thoughts and behaviors that are contributing to the problem. Insights come from awareness. Does that make sense?
Conscious awareness also puts us in touch with our inner wisdom and the spiritual aspect of ourselves which is always at peace. By quieting our
minds, we get in touch with a deeper part of ourselves that is always present
