Because I receive a lot of emails from readers and students seeking emotional support, I have asked the counselor I have personally relied on over the years, to be a resource for you.
Her name is Lourdes O' Byrne and she runs Emotional Body Wellness, a therapy practice offering emotional freedom coaching, an integrative, “holistic” type of coaching that evolved from twenty-five plus years of experience.
Since 1984, Lourdes has worked in different types of addiction/ mental health and bodywork settings.
Take it from me, as one who has benefited from her work personally, she is incredibly intuitive, smart, talented, caring and compassionate. If you are seeking emotional support, I don't know a better resource.
Whether you are suffering from the emotional effects of stress, healing from emotional abuse, looking for self help for anxiety, depression or building positive self esteem, Lourdes can help you create an internal support system that you can rely on when the going gets tough and life issues get the best of you.
If you want to make an emotional shift to a more empowered, healthier state, Lourdes can help you make healthier choices with ease and self-confidence. She certainly has helped me over the years.
Let's face it. Sometimes life is just terribly difficult! Unless you were one of the lucky few that experienced life from start to finish relatively unscathed, there are times when it is difficult to push the wheelbarrow of our lives uphill. I have had my share of spills and downward, backward turns.
Given the fact that for the past 25 years I’ve been listening to people share their stories of struggle and triumph, the topic of how we get through life challenges is very close and dear to my heart. I found myself telling a friend today how much I love helping people see the bigger purpose in their life story, the healing of the trauma, the releasing of the drama and the possibility of transformation in all of it!
But it wasn’t always that way for me. Even when I was trying to help people get their lives on track, I was having a hell of a time trying to figure things out for myself. Truth be told, I really had difficulty applying the philosophy that was working so well for my clients.
I remember wondering “what the hell am I doing wrong?” How could I be the light on your path and not be able to light my own path? It took me awhile. Lots of therapy, coaching and soul searching to uncover the places where I was not supporting, loving, allowing me to grow and integrate the soul lessons that were necessary for me to become the person I am today.
Now this doesn’t mean that everything gets a happy ending or that bad things don’t and can't still happen to me. However, I have (over time and through lots of experiences) developed and adopted skills and tools for dealing with those dark nights of the soul.
I have witnessed for myself that in a moment with the right attitude and the right perspective everything can change and as if by magic we get the opportunity to make good with something that appeared to be very “ bad”.
