Unlike some of my other articles on mind healing, this mind body healing section is devoted to real life stories, my own, and those of my readers and students. Here I focus on verifiable incidents where deep relaxation techniques -- call it meditation, relaxation hypnosis or self hypnosis - combined with visualization and /or healing affirmations, resulted in spontaneous healing (and can be explained no other way).
Toward the bottom of the page readers can submit their own mind body healing stories for review and possible inclusion on this website. My goals here is to give hope and positivity through real life examples to other visitors who may be facing health challenges.
One night in June, 2011, I was home alone, and decided to make some chicken stock from the leftovers of roast I had cooked the day before. Long story short, I spilled a huge pot of boiling chicken stock and was scaled from my left hip all the way down to my knee. The first picture below was taken two days after the incident.
At the time, I was in such terrible pain that the idea of calling emergency or going to the hospital, did not even occur to me.
I guess my training kicked in. All I could think to do was focus on relaxing and use the mind body healing techniques I knew.
Specifically I imagined projecting blue-white healing energy out of my right hand into my leg. Then I would visualize my leg clear, healed without scars.
As you can see I had third degree burns. I did not see a doctor until three days later. She gasped when she saw my leg. It was pretty ugly.
Three times a day for the next two weeks I would use self hypnosis and visualize my leg healed, affirming all the while "I am perfectly healthy in body and mind. My legs feel silky and comfortable. They look smooth and soft." I was deeply grateful for my ability to heal. It could have been worse. I believe that the deep gratitude I felt had much to do with the rapid healing that took place.
Miraculously, my leg was completely clear in less than 3 weeks.
A few years ago I receive this note from a young woman who had attended one of my seminars a month prior. Relaxation and visualization techniques were the only plausible explanation for the spontaneous healing she experienced:
"Twelve years ago I was diagnosed with HIV. Since then my T-cells have fluctuated between 123 and 450. After taking the course, my T-cells jumped to 857!” -- name withheld at request of student.
"Recently I had a follow-up stress thallium test, due to a heart attack I suffered six years ago. My doctor tells me that my heart is in better shape now than when I was much younger. I credit the relaxation and meditation techniques with those results. I’ve even recommended your course to my cardiologist." -- Ann Travis, Miami , FL
