Many people looking for secrets of millionaire mind, are really wanting to know: "how do I get rich quick?"
It is true. You would be surprised to know how many people ask me how they can apply mind power techniques to win the lottery or some such thing. But in reality, winning the lottery and unlocking secrets of millionaire mind, are two very different things. So lets take care of that before we begin.
According to Fortune magazine and The Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, almost 33% of lottery winners go bankrupt. Can you imagine that? They end up WORSE off financially AFTER winning the lottery than they were before.
To make things worse, other studies show that lottery winners have more divorces, get more depressed and become more estranged from friends and family than average Americans. Even their suicide rates are higher!
There is a physiological reason WHY this happens – and a very simple solution – that you can learn more about here.
Okay, so let's talk about what IS important when it comes to building wealth and prosperity.
My old teacher, Jose Silva taught (and I completely agree) that we, as human beings, are here to help people and to solve problems. Yet a common problem I found with many of my Silva students (I taught the Silva Method for many years) was a lack of money! These people were successful in so many areas of life, but for some reason, they had not found their path to prosperity. So i realized it was worth looking at and examining.
What was different in the way these people related to money versus other aspects of their lives, such as health and relationships.
It might surprise you to learn that the root of the word “Mind” (Manas) is actually related to the root of the word Money. The word money actually comes from a Roman word and is rooted in the word for “warning” or minding, in the sense of “paying attention to.”
What I noticed over and over with people wanting to make more money is that what they were paying attention to.
Instead of focusing on service to others, they were dwelling on their desire to receive money! I noticed this pattern with my business clients who were struggling with cash flow as well. They would ask me what to do to make more money, and ALWAYS the first step was to help them get their attention OFF the money, and onto serving others!
It’s a formula that works, but is too easy to forget
when the fear of having too little money is affecting one’s judgement.
With money in your pocket, you are wise and you are handsome and you sing well too. --Yiddish Proverb
I truly believe that a commitment to serving people is the best path to making money AND CREATING FINANCIAL SECURITY.
It’s one of the secrets of millionaire mind. But the most valuable gains of this attitude have nothing to DO with money. Mutual service creates mutual gratitude, and mutual gratitude will make this planet a better and better place for everyone! The money, well, that is a lovely bonus.
You can only achieve what you believe is possible for you, what you believe you are capable of and what you believe you deserve. In fact, a better title for this article would be Belief Secrets of Millionaire Mind!

You are probably wondering why I am grouping stress management and action together instead of listing them as two separate secrets of millionaire mind. After all, to some people it the two may seem like opposites.
Here is the scoop
When you are aware of a lack of money -- even if you just FEEL like you are lacking money (and this is felt as often in millionaires as paupers!) -- the stress level can get very high very quickly. Your brain stem - your limbic brain -responds to this lack of money (again, even just a FEELING of lack of money) as a threat to …
a. Survival. (You could run out of food)
b. Shelter. (You could lose your home and have to live on the street)
c. Companionship. (Your partner may leave you)
If this stress goes on long enough, or you are imagining the worst case financial scenario vividly enough, your limbic brain responds with chemicals and impulses to DO something. Remember that when it comes to taking action, your limbic brain is responsible for the four F’s:
The answer is to manage stress and give your limbic brain instructions that it can execute on. More about the latter, later. Until then ....
