The best weight loss diet is not really "a diet" at all. Maybe you have tried a 100 different diets, you know, the kind where you lose weight the first few weeks, and then you just get stuck and your weight refuses to move?
Think about it this way, if what other people label as the "best weight loss diet" is hard to stick to, or requires too much effort or sacrifice (like not being able to eat out with your friends) or you lose weight the first week, then you get stuck and stay at that weight, then chances are you will break that diet and go back to your old habits.
Next thing you know, all the weight you took off is back on. Maybe even a few more pounds.
Although losing weight on a crash diet might work quickly, it can be really frustrating and upsetting to put that weight right back on.
The best weight loss diet has to be one that makes you feel healthier, fulfilled and more energetic while you are on it, and one in which you lose weight, and you can keep the weight off easily.
If the long-term, healthy approach is more your style, then what I would recommend is an eating plan that has kept me healthy and fit for over twenty-five years. It is a way of eating that allows me to eat a balanced healthy diet --and eat as much as I want.
It will actually increase your energy, turn on your metabolism, and reduce your weight without even one bit of deprivation! Does this sounds too good to be true? Wait till you try this for yourself!
I came to know of it through a friend of mine's older brother who had tried everything in the world to reduce weight, including diet pills, massive amounts of exercise, every fad diet in the world, the no-carbs diet, the cabbage soup diet, the grapefruit diet.
He even went to a clinic that used electroshock therapy. In case you are wondering how that works: He brought his favorite junk foods into the clinic and they shocked him WHILE he ate his favorite junk foods, in order to get him to associate pain with eating his favorite junk foods. And no, it did not work!
Then something amazing happened that reignited his desire to find a workable weight loss plan.
He was vice president of a well-known company that was bought by a larger firm from England. After a board meeting he was approached by the new Chairman who said to him privately, "Hey, you need to lose some weight."
Then, the Chairman quickly added, "Don't be offended. You're heavy; I'm heavy. How many pounds would you say you need to lose?" My friend's brother figured he needed to lose 40 pounds.
So the chairman made a very compelling offer: "I'll tell you what," he said, "If you take off all 40 pounds by my birthday in April -- this conversation happened in early January -- I will pay you a hundred and fifty dollars for every pound you take off."
That was a lot of money twenty-five years ago...
But, the chairman added, "You have to take off all forty pounds. If you do that, I will pay you for each pound, and I will pay you per pound even if you take off more than 40. But if you take off less than 40 pounds, I won't pay you anything."
Thanks to my friend, his brother, he found the best weight loss diet in the world and the weight came off. Not only did the weight come off, but he found that he actually had more energy and strength in the gym. His mood was brighter, and best of all, he took off the 40 pounds and received a check for $6,900!
That story perked me up. I began following the same system, and for over twenty years, I have not dieted and I have stayed very healthy. What's convenient about this program is that you don't need compelling motivation to get results.
It will work for you with mathematical certainty, the same way that one plus one equals two.
